On 6/1/21 Village Council voted to cancel the 2021 Great American Car Show due to uncertainties surrounding the park circle beautification project and new gazebo construction. The Village is committed to completing the project prior to the onset of winter; yet the dates in which construction would start and end are not yet established due to unanticipated delays in bidding the work and expected scheduling delays based on the current construction environment. Our greatest concern is public safety, and the risk inherent in having the park circle under construction over Labor Day weekend and thereby creating an unsafe environment for exhibitors and the public. While we regret having to cancel this year’s event, we look forward to bringing the Great American Car Show back to Westfield Center in 2022.
